Oil on panel 276 x 224 cm. Florence, Pitti. Painted for the Dei Chapel in Santo Spiritio and left unfinished by Raphael when he departed for Rome.
The structure of this painting was the basis for a series of contemporary works by painters such as Fra bartolomeo and Pontormo.
