Portrait of Agnoio Doni by Raphael

Oil on panel, 63 x 45 cm. Florence, Pitti. This and the portrait of Donis wife (Portrait of Maddalena Doni) remained in the doni collection inFlorence until 1826. Then it passed into the collection of Leopold II of Tuscany.

This painting was dated to 1506, before the portrait of Maddalena.

The structure of this painting was the basis for a series of contemporary works by painters such as Fra bartolomeo and Pontormo.

Canigiani Madonna by Raphael

Madonna with St John and St Ellizabeth. Oil on panel, 132 x 98 cm, Munich, Old Pinakothek. Painted for Domenico Canigiani, it was in his house until at an unknown date, it passedinto the Medici collection.

It is unanimously dated 1507. A copy in the Corsini Garelly shows a flighta of angels in the backround.

Madonna of the Goldfinch by Raphael

Oil on panel 107 x 77 cm Florence, Uffizi. According to Vasari it was painted for V. Nasi. It was badly damaged by the collapse of the Nasi house in 1547 and was restored by Miechele di ridolfo del Ghirlandaio.

From 1666 it belonged to the collection of cardinal Carlo de Medici in the Uffizi. This painting was dated to 1506.

La Belle Jardiniere by Raphael

Oil on panel 122 x 80 cm Paris Louvre. Signed Raphaelo Urb and dated MDVII. identified as the work for Filippo Sergadi, left unfinished by Raphael and completed by Rodolfo del Ghirlandaio, mentioned by Vasari.

It seems to have been acquired by Francis I.

Tempi Madonna by Raphael

Oil on panel 77 x 53 cm. Munich Old Pinakothek. Mentioned by Cinelli as being in the house of the Tempi family, it was bought by Ludwig of Bavaria in 1829.

It anticipates the style of the Madonna of the Chair.

Coronation of the Virgin by Raphael

Oil on wooden panel transffered to canvas, 267 x 163 cm. In Vatican. Oddi in 1502 for the family chapel in the church of San Francesco in Perugia.

When it was transferred form wood to canvas it was joined to form an alterpiece with the predella showing the Annunciation. The dating, derived from documents of the period, has been confirmed as 1502 by Brizio... the last foure regarding 1503 as the propably year when it was painted.

Resurrection by Raphael

Oil on canvas, 52 x 44 cm. Sao Paolo in Brazil, Art museum. Itemized in 1857 by Bode in the Kinnaird collection.

Regteren von Altnea in 1927 showed convincingly that the Resurrection was the work of the young Raphael. In 1955 pronounced it to be one of his earliest works. It was taken to Brazil after Second World War.
